Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 16 black Mission figs
- 16 large basil leaves
- 2 ounces feta cheese, cut into 16 equal pieces
Directions
- Light a grill or heat a grill pan. In a small saucepan, bring the vinegar and honey to a simmer. Set aside.
- Grill the figs over high heat, turning, until warmed through, about 4 minutes. Transfer the figs to a large platter. Using a small sharp knife, split open the figs. Fold a basil leaf around each piece of feta and tuck it into a fig. Pour the warm vinegar-honey mixture over the figs and serve.
